Mark your calendars, Seattle! The official Bake It in a Cupcake book release party is just two weeks away! Come down to the wonderful Elliott Bay Book Company on Capitol Hill for high fives, cupcakes (including the creme brulee ones!), and your very own copy of the book! It starts at 5 pm, and more info is here.
If you can’t make it to the party (sad face!) the book will be available in your local bookstore on October 2nd via Andrews McMeel Publishing. I can’t wait for you to see it! (And, of course, bake everything.)
You can also pre-order your copy at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Indiebound.com, Powells.com (Portland), and Elliott Bay Book Company (Seattle).
Of course hi-hat cupcakes are awesome, but they get even better when the surprise isn’t only on the top of the cupcake, but also inside! So I filled my hi-hat cupcakes with mini chocolate pudding pies, which go really well with the marshmallowy frosting. Delicious!
Do you have a hard time deciding between cookies and brownies? Me too. But all your problems are solved, because I baked a ball of cookie dough into a brownie. And SURPRISE! It’s delicious!
Did you know my cookbook, Bake it in a Cupcake: 50 Treats With a Surprise Inside, also features a few savory recipes? It’s true! The savory chapter includes these egg croissant cups with swiss cheese chives, and they are the best “cupcakes” you’ll ever eat for breakfast.
You can pre-order your copy of the cookbook at Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Indiebound.com, Powells.com (Portland), and Elliott Bay Book Co. (Seattle).
Cupcakes filled with apple butter makes for a delicious treat as we slip into apple season. Then top them with a sprinkle of cinnamon and some crunchy, toasted pecans? Perfection.
Is it fall yet? Let’s pretend it’s fall. Because all the great fall flavors are packed into one cupcake! This pumpkin cupcake has a gingersnap cookie at the bottom, a Rolo candy in the middle (from trick or treating, obvs), and a pile of apple cider buttercream on top! Tastes like October.
Want to see all the Bake It in a Cake recipes in one place? Check out the recipes page! I just updated it and it includes dozens of different treats involving Take 5 candy bars, pies, cookies, cereal, pop tarts, and mini cheeseburgers made out of marzipan.
Here’s a sneak peek of three photos from Bake It in a Cupcake: 50 Treats With a Surprise Inside! The photos were taken by the lovely Clare Barboza and styled by Helene Dujardin—they made everything look so pretty and delicious! It will be out October 2nd on Andrews McMeel Publishing. I can’t wait for you to see the whole book and (of course) bake all the recipes inside!
