Here’s another recipe from my new cookbook, Bake it in a Cupcake: 50 Treats With a Surprise Inside! These macaroon-filled brownie cupcakes with chocolate ganache and toasted almonds are like an Almond Joy, but much, much fancier. (And super simple to make!)

While it’s nearly impossible for me to answer the oft-asked question, “Which cupcake is your favorite?” the cherry pie-stuffed chocolate cupcakes, the first pie-stuffed cupcakes I ever baked, are most certainly in my top five. Miniature cherry pies overflowing with slightly tart cherry filling, nestled in a rich chocolate cupcake topped with vanilla bean buttercream?
